Claudine MIGISHA

BIO

Claudine Migisha is a community mobilizer and youth engagement program intern at Golden Bridge/Golden Girls Global, an organization that supports adolescent girls and young women in Uganda and the DRC. She is also pursuing her Master of Social Work degree at the University of Denver, specializing in Organizational Leadership & Policy Practice.

With a background in psychology, pastoral care counseling, and social entrepreneurship, Claudine is passionate about empowering women, girls, and promoting peace and community development in her home country. She is the founder and executive director of Nguvu Ya Africa (Power of Africa), a non-profit organization that addresses the political and economic crises faced by marginalized women and girls in the Eastern part of the DRC. Through her program, she fosters healing and resilience by providing art, social enterprise, training, mentorship, and coaching opportunities. Claudine’s impactful work has earned her multiple recognitions, including the Watson Spring 2020 Accelerator Certificate and the Golden Bridge SomaSource Summer Institute Certificate.
