At Nguvu Ya Africa we have 2 major programs that Cultivates experiences that inspire inner awareness, healing, and orientation towards a productive future: The Arts as Education Program and Social Enterprise Program, which target young girls/women living in marginalized communities in DRC..

ARTS AS EDUCATION

Creative Artistic Workshops

  • Bringing girls and women aged below 35 years old together, equipping
    them with life skills, social-economic empowerment, and mental health
    support. We use art as an educational and therapeutic tool for girls and women in our program, we teach dance, public speaking, theater, painting arts, and music and so forth.

Nguvu Girls cultural celebration day

This is an annual event where Nguvu Ya Africa hosts competitions for
emerging young leaders and women ready to create change in the country
and celebrate each other’s achievements during their training with Nguvu
Ya Africa. We use this opportunity as a way to celebrate the progress in
our work. It is also a powerful networking opportunity for our girls and
women to meet other powerful fellow women and influential male leaders
leading change in the local  communities and International communities.

Protecting the fertility of girls and women with menstrual health education and skills to make eco-friendly reusable sanitary pads. As the revenue-generating product to sustain their bodies, sustain our work, and also sustain our collective environment. 

Nguvu IT

Nguvu ya Africa offers basic skills to young stars as empowered girls are the future of DR Congo they possess the power to bring change if given skills they don’t access in schools.
